"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." Jesus Christ 28 A.D.

A Navy SEAL sacrificed his life to save his comrades by throwing himself on top of a grenade Iraqi insurgents tossed into their sniper hideout, fellow members of the elite force said.

Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael A. Monsoor had been near the only door to the rooftop structure Sept. 29 when the grenade hit him in the chest and bounced to the floor, said four SEALs who spoke to The Associated Press this week on condition of anonymity because their work requires their identities to remain secret.

"He never took his eye off the grenade, his only movement was down toward it," said a 28-year-old lieutenant who sustained shrapnel wounds to both legs that day. "He undoubtedly saved mine and the other SEALs' lives, and we owe him."

Monsoor, a 25-year-old gunner, was killed in the explosion in Ramadi, west of Baghdad. He was only the second SEAL to die in Iraq since the war began.

Two SEALs next to Monsoor were injured; another who was 10 to 15 feet from the blast was unhurt. The four had been working with Iraqi soldiers providing sniper security while U.S. and Iraqi forces conducted missions in the area.Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

I have been disgusted by the Pussies and Cowards on DIGG with their quisling comments. They bring dishonor to the memory of my shipmate. Our beloved Constitution's Bill or Rights protect these cowards right to say these despicable things.
I propose an addition to the Bill of Rights: The right to defend the honor of fallen patriots. Suggested wording: "Any person who brings dishonor to the memory or service of a warrior of these United States shall forfeit any and all protections offered by any state or the several states against acts of violence, assault, mayhem, or death perpetrated by a veteran or current member of the armed forces of the United States. This constitution recognizes any such act of violence as being necessary for the security of a free State and by extension the fulfillment of the oath of office to protect and defend the constitution against all enemies both foreign and domestic."

What a brave man. You can take comfort. We need no ammendment. We have a commandment. Let me explain.

As you well know many moons ago my grasshopper, Moses came down from the moutain with his rocks and 10 rules to live by.

Many years later, a very special man was asked by some learned but evil men trying to trick him. "Tell us Lord" they said what is the greatest of God's commandments. This great man did not skip a beat when he said those words summing up the 10 into 2. Love the Lord your God, And Love your neighbor as yourself.

Less than 2 years later while dining for the last time, with 12 of his closest friends on the eve of what was to be his last day on earth, this man told his friends that he was giving them a new commandment. They should love others as he had loved them. This changed the meaning of the directive greatly. For you see this man, knew he was soon to die, plus he knew that the reason he was going to die was to save all men. He wanted these friends, his apostles, to go out and tell the world about The truth, the way and the life, and that they would be persecuted and die while doing it. But by doing this they would be saving them, just as he was dying to save us

So you see your shipmate, has done just what Jesus told us all to do and did it in the most selfless way he could. He is guaranteed his place. Those who are not even following the simpler of the commandments to love others as ourselves, well..... You can leave that up to your imagination.

As a wonderful lady once said very elegantly "What goes around comes around"
